PRE-ACADEMY

(2nd and 3rd grade)

Pre-Academy: 2nd-3rd Grade Program Information

Rush Pre-Academy is designed for young players ready to build on the foundation developed in Mighty Mites. Players will develop soccer movement and basic technical skills while becoming more comfortable in a team setting. Guided by the Rush Player Development Model, our professional coaching staff meets each player where they are, building confidence and a lasting love for the game.

Pre-Academy is a great next step for players preparing for our Competitive Academy, while also supporting new players as they grow in coordination, cooperation, and self-confidence—skills that extend far beyond the soccer field.

PROGRAM GRADE YEAR ALIGNMENT CHANGE

Beginning in Fall 2026, the United States Youth Soccer Association (USYS) will transition from birth-year age groups to grade-year groupings (August 1 – July 31).

To help our families adjust smoothly, Rush Wisconsin West Recreational programs will move to a grade-level format starting in Spring 2026. This early transition will allow players and families to become familiar with the new structure before the national change takes effect.

If your player has already participated in the Mighty Mites program and you feel they are ready to move up, please contact our Director, Bryan Ufheil, to discuss the best placement.
