Birth year registration is determined by the year a soccer season ends. An age group can be determined by subtracting the birth year from the year the season ends.

Year Season Ends – Birth Year = Age Group

2023 to 2024 – 2016= U8
2023 to 2024 – 2015 = U9
2023 to 2024 – 2014 = U10

Please note that you can sign up seasonally for the Rush Wisconsin West Academy. However, the players that register for the fall will have first choice to retain their roster spots for the spring. Players that sign up for the full year will receive a discount.

Fall Season: Mid August - Early November

Training

• Monday @ 6:00-7:15 pm (boys)
• Tuesday @ 5:30-6:45 pm (girls)
• Wednesday @ 6:00-7:15 pm (boys)
• Thursday @ 5:30-6:45 pm (girls)

League Play

• League placement is oriented to maximize player development in an appropriate level and learning environment for the players. 
• Teams will either be registered in local leagues with travel not expected to exceed 2 hours from La Crosse or registered in MAYSA (Madison Area Youth Soccer Association).
  

Tournaments

• 1 away tournament (in-state)
• 1 home tournament - October 13th-15th, 2022 @ La Crosse, WI
  

Winter Season: Mid November - Mid March

• 2 optional trainings per week with paid certified coaching staff
• Winter is focused on the individual and players are not penalized for missing trainings.
• We encourage our players to play other winter sports.
• Winter training is on a drop in schedule - come to as many as you wish
• Optional winter indoor futsal tournament
• Not included in registration cost
  

Spring Season: Mid March - Mid June

Training

• Twice a week, Training times and days will be determined based on coach availability.

League Play

• League placement is oriented to maximize player development in an appropriate level and learning environment for the players. 
• Teams will either be registered in local leagues with travel not expected to exceed 75 minutes from La Crosse or registered in MAYSA (Madison Area Youth Soccer Association).
  

Tournaments

• 1 away tournament
• 2 crossover play dates in the NWCL and/or MSL

Program Fees

• $630 for fall and spring seasons combined (after $50 discount for year-round registration)
• $125 for winter training during registration.  If winter registration occurs after initial player registration, the fee will be $150 for winter training.
• Seasonal registration is available for the Academy program (Fall $340 / Winter $150 / Spring $340). 
• Players that register for the fall will have first choice to retain their roster spots for the spring.
• Multiplayer family discounts will be applied during fall registration - second and third players will receive $35 off each.

Volunteer Requirements 

• 4 hours required of volunteer service per season. Fall and spring are considered different seasons for Academy players.
• $100 buyout option per season (subject to change before tryouts)
  

Additional Fees

• Uniform: Fall 2023 is a new 2-year Rush uniform cycle. ALL Rush WI West players will need to purchase home and away uniforms. Estimated price is $190 for the uniform kit.  Each kit includes 2 jerseys, 2 shorts, and 2 pairs of socks. The uniform set will be worn through the spring/summer 2025 season.
• Travel expenses for away games and tournaments are not included in the academy registration fee.
