The easiest way to view the calendar is by clicking on the "agenda" tab in the upper right corner of the calendar.
This will allow you to easily see birth years, times, and locations all at once. If you click on a session you can see the exact address.

Locations

Rush Soccer uses a variety of training locations throughout the winter. Please make sure you have the correct location of your player's session.
Please make sure you are looking at the correct program for your child: Mighty Mites, Rhinos, Recreational, Academy, or Competitive.
You can find this information on the calendar.

Winter Training Philosophy

As a club, our focus for winter training is technical aspects of the game. We encourage coaches to do as much 1 person or 2 person to 1 ball type activities as they can during the session.

This also helps in utilizing the small spaces that we train in. Coaches do their best to minimize the amount of time players are standing in lines. Coaches demand technical perfection out of the players and require them to be on their toes and moving.

Other activities that we generally try to focus on in winter are 1v1s, 2v2s, and 3v3s when space allows. When we are in the Field House at UW-La Crosse we will do a short technical warm up and then we will let the players play 5v5, 6v6, 7v7, whatever space and numbers allows, the remainder of the hour.

Typically we break for water once or twice during the hour.

Coaches

During winter coaches are encouraged to sign up for as many sessions as they would like to coach.

Therefore, your player has the opportunity to work with anyone on our staff. This allows them the ability to learn from different coaches and their different styles.

This encourages us to build our club culture and for players and coaches to get to know more than just their usual team coach/players. We will also have guest coaches

work with our players in the winter. For example, local college and high school coaches.

Before the Session

Please talk to your player about waiting patiently and quietly in the hallway before their session starts. We need to respect the spaces we are using.

Players should not be bouncing balls in the hallways. They can put their shoes on and line up their bags outside of the gyms. Players should make sure they do not change into their soccer shoes until they are inside to make sure they are not dragging salt/snow into the buildings.
