NEW YEAR, NEW ROLES! Meet Your 2018-2019 Competitive Program Directors!

Rush Wisconsin West Announces New Roles for Competitive Directors

As Rush Wisconsin West continues to grow in their 4th year, roles for staff will continue to grow as well. Rush Wisconsin West is happy to announce that Nicole Lukic will be continuing as the technical leader of the club as Director of Coaching. This year Nate Castillo will be joining Cesar Golfetti as an Assistant Director of Coaching. Like Lukic, Golfetti has been with the club since its inception in 2015. "Nate has been working with us since April. We are excited to move him into this role as it will allow him to make a greater impact on our players, staff, and club members." said Lukic.

Furthermore, among the three directors roles will be further defined as follows for the competitive program:

Cesar Golfetti: Assistant Director of Coaching, 7v7 Director

Nate Castillo: Assistant Director of Coaching, 9v9 Director, Director of Goalkeeping

Nicole Lukic: Director of Coaching, 11v11 Director

The new roles are meant to increase communication with players, coaches, and team managers while allowing the directors to make a more consistent appearance at training sessions. "The new format will allow for an increase in player development and a better understanding of the needs of individuals and teams." added Lukic.

Nate Castillo sees tremendous opportunities at Rush WI West. "
WI West has had a ton of growth over the last 3 years and I am excited about my new role within the club. I am looking forward to working with the coaches to help the players transition from 7v7 to 9v9 and onto 11v11. These golden years of the kids' development will set them up for success later in their careers. I am also excited about working with the strong goalkeeping staff within the club to help them build a culture here in La Crosse. Rush WI West has a bright future and I am thankful to be given the opportunity to be part of it." said Castillo.

As the competitive team training kicks off tomorrow, Rush Wisconsin West will be starting the season with a record number of academy and competitive players. "It has been a tremendous pleasure working with Rush Wisconsin West since the beginning of the club. By looking back and seeing what we have been able to accomplish satisfies me, but drives me even more to keep going. I am looking forward to having another role in the club to help our players succeed more and more." said Golfetti.

Remember that the first week of training has a unique schedule with all club training from 5:30-7:00pm Monday and REACH friendlies on Tuesday. Thank you for being a part of the Rush! GO WI WEST!
